read text file

i need to know how can i read a text file and then insert it into the table. i dont need all the information in the text file and i just need to take some information

but what i need is that i have atext file that so any rows and columns are in it but i just need some rows and columns not all of them.

thanks|||Insert text into a #temporary table and then do your query on what you need and insert it into a production table the rest will go away when procedure will end.
